About Eskom
Eskom is one of the worlds largest electricity utilities and the national power company in South Africa. Since 1991 it has electrified approximately three million homes, and has demonstrated superior performance both technically and financially.

It has also become something of a beacon for state enterprises across the world in the field of corporate governance.

This book, by Eskom chairman Reuel Khoza and legal adviser Mohamed Adam, emerges from the experience of transforming Eskom from a statutory entity into a state-owned enterprise incorporated in terms of South African company law. It's two-tier governance model was replaced with a single board in terms of current practices of good corporate governance.
