Addis Ababa – Ethiopia has earmarked 100ha of land in Semera for an industrial zone, the works and urban development bureau said.
Bureau representative Juhar Ali said that 15ha had also been made available to workers and local farmers in order to construct housing to support the industrial project.
Ali said that the zone would house business centres, medium and large-scale manufacturing industries and other enterprises, as well as hotels and recreation centres.
He added that services, such as power, telecoms and water were already available.
