Kenyan Charles Ngare Kebuchi obtained a BA Hons in London and a Management Diploma from the University of Wisconsin in the USA.

After a period with the East African Common Service Organisation (EACSO) as Assistant Secretary, he was appointed Under Secretary of the Economic Division of that organisation, followed by other appointments, including as Head of the Finance Division of the EACSO Treasury.

A number of government appointments followed. These included four years in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development, as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Principal Immigration Officer, and Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Treasury.

Mr Kebuchi rescued the insolvent Automobile Association of Kenya, where he served as Director General from 1980-1990. From 1991 he was politically active in the 'Second Liberation Struggle' and stood for Parliament on two occasions. He is currently Chairman of Kenya Reinsurance Corporation and also has interests in farming and business.
